Dear Parents and Students,

It has been reported to us that a Newspaper has run a story about school CCTV footage being streamed in the US.  The newspaper has used pictures of the Summerhill School CCTV as stock photos of school CCTV, even though it is not our CCTV that the story is about, or our school that has had CCTV hacked.

It is precisely to avoid any possibility of this happening that we are assured that the Summerhill CCTV systems are purely internal with no outside connection to the internet or to the outside world.

We thought it may be sensible to send this message to provide assurance lest anyone be worried or uncertain that this story is nothing to do with Summerhill School.
