The Summerhill House Championship was launched in September 2017 in unison with the exciting new House System that is now in place in school. The House Championship works with an aim to make Summerhill School more unified, supportive and fun than ever before! House competitions are aimed at every member of the school community within a House, from students, to teachers, to associate staff and parents and encourages the community to try and achieve as many House Points as they possibly can! The winning House who achieve the most House Points will be announced on the last but one day of the school year in July and the entirety of the winning House will then enjoy day on the rides at the funfair we have organised on the school field!
So far this year there has been a Limbo competition, a Spelling Bee, Halloween Spooktacular as well as a House football competition that has run throughout Term 2. This is to name but a few! We aim to have multiple House Competitions running at any one time in order to engage as many members of the school community and their subsequent skills as we can.
We would encourage you to follow our school Twitter page: @SH_housechamp to keep informed of the latest House competitions, championship totaliser and any important news about the Summerhill House Championship.
