Summerhill School

Results Day

Results day at Summerhill!

Students and staff at Summerhill School are celebrating today after seeing a “significant increase” on last year’s GCSE results.

In both English and maths, 87 per cent of students achieved a “good pass” and 75 per cent of students achieved a “good pass” in at least five subjects - a significant increase on last year’s results.

The school also had some notable individual success stories, with some students achieving the new and rare gold standard grade nine in English language and literature or maths.

They include:

James Hill, who got an A and 10 A*s (two grade nines and one grade eight); Morgan Dalloway who achieved an A and nine A*s (two grade nines) and Lauren Millward, who achieved six A*s and four As (two grade nines and one grade eight).

We are extremely proud of all our students who receive their excellent results today.

Every student who is smiling here today deserves their rewards, achieved through hard work and determination underpinned by the skill and passion of our excellent team of teachers. This was a stabilising year for academic success at Summerhill.
